Initiatic Astrology and Cosmic Cycles

evolution. If we want to understand more deeply the action of the Sun on terrestrial evolution and on Humanity, we must thus distinguish the physical and energetic star, that is the solar disk, from the Spirit of the Sun in which the presence of the Creative Word is felt. Similar considerations must be made for all celestial bodies, for which the physical and energetic part is the externalized and visible expression of a spiritual counterpart in which, according to the Christian terminology we adopt, an angelic intelligence acts, the Angel, as Saint Clement of Alexandria synthesizes: "The stars, spiritual bodies under the vigilant government of angels with whom they are in relation, are not causes of birth, but can designate the realities present, future and past, regarding climate changes, abundance and scarcity of fruits, pestilences and fevers, and of men." - Clement of Alexandria.

While not being causes of birth, the stars influence men, but more precisely the Nations and Humanity as a whole. In this sense we will be interested in analyzing the stellar configurations of some topical moments in the history of Humanity. However, when speaking of Initiatic Astrology, one must keep in mind the maxim whereby the stars influence man and man influences the celestial bodies. How a Man can influence the evolution of an entire planet will be the subject of this entire treatise. In particular, we will note how the action of the God-Man Jesus Christ modified the evolutionary trajectory of Humanity as well as that of the World Soul through his very sacrifice according to the mode of King-Priests-Sacrificers, or order of Melchizedek.

Initiatic astrology has nothing to do with common astrology any more than it has to do with astronomy. Unfortunately, in order not to make this writing too long and diluted, we cannot account for the bases of Initiatic Astrology, which we must presuppose as acquired, at least to a certain point. For those who would like to build such a background, we recommend the following, very concise, bibliography: Sefer Yetzirah attributed to patriarch Abraham; Palamidessi, Tommaso. The bases of personal initiatic astrology; Benassai, Alessandro. Initiatic astrology, the Science of the Magi; Benassai, Alessandro. Origin and Meaning of Constellations; Agrippa, Cornelius. Occult philosophy. books II and III.

Human rhythms and cosmic rhythms

Human evolution is possible thanks to the free Energy made available by the Sun through the Earth. Thus, the fundamental cycles of Man, which regulate life and consequently individual evolution, are marked by the periodic motions of the Earth-Sun System, such as the day, the year, etc.; to which must be added, in a completely secondary way, the derived cyclic rhythms of the other elements of the Solar System. Similarly, the evolution of the Solar System is possible by virtue of the free Energy made available by the Galaxy. For this reason, the fundamental cycles of the Earth are marked by the periodic motions of the Solar System within the Galaxy to which must be added, in a completely secondary way, the cyclic motions of the other elements of our Galactic System.

If, as in our case, we are interested in studying the evolution of Humanity as a whole and in its relations with the Earth that hosts it, we must take into consideration, as fundamental temporal units of measure, the following cycles: the platonic year: the cycle of approximately $25920$ years produced by the motion of precession of the equinoxes and which corresponds to the time interval necessary to have the same polar star or, alternatively, the time interval necessary for a star to reappear at the same longitude or zodiacal degree; the Milankovitch cycles: these are cycles...

Although in the scientific field the completely approximate value of $25772$ years for the platonic year is commonly accepted, we have chosen the number $25920$ because of its broader symbolism being $25920 = 72 \times 360$ which highlights the classical equivalence between $72$ years and $1$ zodiacal degree of precessional motion.
