Spiritual Forces at Death: Good and Evil Angels in the Final Agony
This is the one cited at the beginning of this book of the 2 Thieves. Reading and commentary Dismas (dying) vs Gestas. GOOD ANGEL AND EVIL ANGEL repeats what happens in consciousness at the moment of death. There is a Judgment and there are two opposing forces that are unleashed in the dying person at the moment of death and that fight against each other in the Agony. "Agony" precisely means "struggle". These forces are released and present themselves to the consciousness of the dying person sometimes as relatives, sometimes as angelic images or as demonic images. Where do these forces derive from. In ancient traditions from Zoroaster to our days it is said that there are two intelligences associated with every man who suggest and to which man can adhere or not (GOOD ANGEL or DEMON). He created man to dominate over the world and assigned him two spirits with which he must proceed until the time of His visitation: they are the Spirit of Equity and the Spirit of Iniquity. From a source of Light spring the generations of Equity, and from a fountain of Darkness came forth the generations of Iniquity. In the hand of the Prince of Light stands dominion over all the children of righteousness and they proceed by the Ways of Light. In the hand of the Angel of Darkness stands dominion over the children of Iniquity and they proceed on the ways of darkness. These two intelligences become dynamic at the moment of death because the individual is more receptive to their action at the moment when he is dying and thus passes through alternating states in which temptations and inspirations appear to consciousness. DEMON AND ANGEL OF FAITH: "You have fallen into the deceptions of religion, nothing exists outside this life, it's such a pity you didn't enjoy this life more." Inspiration of Faith, example of the Saints of God as monuments of Faith. DEMON OF DESPAIR AND ANGEL OF HOPE: "What do you hope for? Your sins are many" and highlights all the sins he has done. Angel of hope highlights how the past doesn't count for those who repent. DEMON OF IMPATIENCE AND ANGEL OF PATIENCE: "Everyone takes care of themselves, no one of you. No one understands how much you suffer. Everyone is just waiting to see you die." "Don't expect anything, fix your eyes on the Perpetual Light." DEMON OF VAINGLORY AND ANGEL OF HUMILITY: "I was good and deserve a place of honor." DEMON OF GREED AND ANGEL OF DETACHMENT: "All the things you earned with effort, others enjoy them, wants to take them away." DEMON OF SLEEP AND ANGEL OF PERPETUAL VIGIL. MOMENT OF DEATH AND DESCRIPTION FROM A MEDIUMISTIC SESSION (P233). At the instant of death and for the following three days the light of Christ appears to Man's consciousness. This is the Divine Light of Christ that is of Christ as God as opposed to the successive Lights which are of the Humanity of Christ. When the dying person wants to fix himself in these lights however he is assailed by all that is attachment to his life that is by his sins that take a form. This is one of the few mediumistic texts accepted and published by the Catholic Church relating to this process. Direction of the "Bulletin de Notre-Dame de la Bonne Mort" (Tinchebray - Orne - France). The manuscript was delivered to the aforementioned Direction by a Priest, missionary, and concerns the relations of a Religious with a soul from Purgatory. To the question: "-Tell me, what happens at agony and after? Does the soul find itself in light or in darkness? In what form is the sentence pronounced?" Answer: "How can I tell you and describe what happens after agony? It is not possible to understand it well without having passed through it. Nevertheless I will try to explain it to you as best I can. The soul, in leaving the body, finds itself all lost, all invested (if I may say so) by God. It finds itself in such a light that in the blink of an eye it sees all its life and, consequently, what it deserves. She herself in this vision so clear, pronounces her own sentence. The soul does not see the good God, but is annihilated by his presence. If it is a guilty soul as I was and who, consequently, has deserved Purgatory, it is so oppressed under the weight of the sins that remain to be expiated that by itself it plunges into Purgatory... Saint Michael is there when the soul leaves the body; him alone I have seen and all souls see. He is like the witness and executor of divine justice. I have also seen my guardian angel.... - And when it concerns a soul that goes directly to Heaven?" Answer: "For this soul, the union begun with Jesus continues at death: behold Heaven, but the union of Heaven is much more intimate than that of earth." JUDGMENT OF THE SOUL AFTER DEATH (P355-235). Having said these things, he will observe in the Mirror where every thought, every good and bad act is reflected. And you will realize that your lie will have been worth nothing. "Then, with justifying fury, the executioner-furies of the Lord of Death will wrap a rope around your neck and drag you away. They will cut off your head, tear out your heart, disembowel your intestines, drink your blood, bite your brain, devour your flesh, gnaw your bones, but you will not be able to die because you are eternal. Even reduced to shreds, your body will continue to live. Tortures will follow tortures, pain upon pain, torture upon torture. Oh brother! May you not learn what horrors there are in darkness, what happens among flames, what burns among tortures! May the terrible Satan with his companions move away from you! May he tremble and flee into the shapeless desert of eternal night when you, accompanied by Angels, arrive there! Lord Jesus Christ, King of Glory! Preserve the soul of all faithful departed from the punishments of hell and from the deep sea! Preserve it from the vengeance of the lion, so that the abyss - tartarus! - may not devour it, so that it may not fall into darkness. May Michael, the holy standard-bearer, place it..."
