The Principles of Eternal Truth - Notes and Reflections from Tommaso Palamidessi
The magical key that opens all doors of the Temple of glorious immortality consists in the integral knowledge of the following principles and their practical realization.
Everything has a cause. There is no effect without cause. Chance is but a name for a law ignored by men, that is, not recognized; everything happens according to a law. There are universal laws as there are natural laws.
The set of invisible universal laws implies an invisible and unique Legislator who is God.
At the base and beyond the Universe, time, space and change, lies the substantial reality, the fundamental truth. What the fundamental Truth (substantial reality) is, is unnameable, but the wise call it the All. In its essence, the All is unknowable. The testimony of Reason must be welcomed and treated with respect.
The microcosm is analogous to the macrocosm in the three planes of the Uni-Trinity. As above, so below; as below, so above.
Nothing is inert. Everything lives, everything vibrates in alternating rhythms, everything moves.
Everything has its pair of opposites; everything has two poles and is dual; opposites touch; the similar and dissimilar are equal; between opposites there is a difference in degree. All paradoxes can be reconciled; all truths are but half-truths.
Everything has its masculine and feminine gender which Philosophers compare to the Sun and Moon; gender is in all things and manifests on all planes and states of cosmic consciousness.
Everything evolves and progresses through divine attraction, providential aid, natural adaptation and spiritual transmutation.
Creation is organized in solidarized and hierarchized synthesis that humanity must imitate in its individual, family, national and international conditions.
The Universe is mental. Everything is mind and is held in the mind of the All. The All creates in its infinite mind, countless universes, which exist for eons of time, yet, for the All, the creation, development, decay and death of a million universes, have no greater duration than the opening and closing of an eye. The infinite mind of the All is the matrix of universes. Within the Mother-Father Mind mortals are at home. No one is without father and without mother in the Universe.
The mind, as well as metals and human and telluric elements, can be transmuted, from state to state, from degree to degree, from condition to condition, from pole to pole, from vibration to vibration. True hermetic transmutation is a mental art. Transmutation, and not presumptuous negation, is the Master's weapon. He knows how to take into account the hermetic axiom: Everything is in Everything and Everything is in everything. Therefore he possesses great knowledge and great power over the tri-world.
God, the principle of everything, is the providential means and the end of everything. For the triumph of truth and with sacrifice, one must reach Him.
