Jupiter-Saturn Conjunctions in Historical Astrology

A typical thing of the entire Nazi Regime (all the important hierarchs had it). The most important among all these conjunctions and considered most significant is that between Jupiter and Saturn, the last two traditional planets, because this conjunction links a short cycle that has an immediate relationship with human life to a much broader cycle of almost millennial character. In practice, therefore, it represents a key to understand and contextualize the life and events of the individual in relation to general evolution. Let's see what these two cycles are and what is the structure of the conjunction. Jupiter-Saturn conjoin every twenty years so they have a human-scale cycle. However, consecutive conjunctions are linked to each other by a law of affinity. In the sense that if the conjunction occurs in a sign in a given year, the next conjunction occurs in a sign of the same triplicity and therefore in trine to the previous one if not for a few degrees, 20 years later again the conjunction occurs at about $240°$ distance and so on for about 10 times, after about 10 times that is about 200 years, the conjunction changes triplicity, so we witness an epochal change and an overall cycle of about 720 years. This tradition of Jupiter Saturn's influence in humanity's cycles is not exactly known where it comes from. In fact, the doctrine seems to be of Indian origin and must have penetrated to the Arabs through the Persians. But it's not clear when this happened. I say this because in the Gospel there is precisely a reference to Magi, therefore Chaldeans who by observing the stars would have predicted the birth of the Messiah. This attention to celestial signs that would have indicated the birth of the Messiah we also find in some documents related to the caves of Qumran. However, returning to Matthew's gospel and the Magi, they say they see a star in the east that shows them the way. Six years before the birth of Christ, a conjunction occurs in the oriental sky of Jupiter-Saturn that occurred first at $20°$ Pisces and then at $15°$ Pisces. The Magi therefore having noticed this astrological phenomenon would have gone to Herod in search of this child. So this conjunction, even if it didn't coincide with the year of Christ's birth, prepared for his advent. The first text we have regarding this conjunction is by Mashallah, the first great Arab astrologer who was however Jewish then converted to Islam, and he writes various treatises on the Jupiter Saturn conjunction and on the cycles of history. In practice, he makes a history of the world summarized in 16 horoscopes relating to 15 Jupiter Saturn conjunctions and one instead relating to the year of Christ's birth. He in practice is the first explicit testimony we have of the association of the phenomenon between the Jupiter Saturn conjunction and the birth of Christ. All the great Arab astrologers will confirm this association by deepening it and pressing on this aspect of Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions. Why? Because Muhammad is born under the influence of the Jupiter Saturn conjunction. The year of Muhammad's birth indeed occurs the Jupiter Saturn conjunction that characterizes him. It occurs in Scorpio, that is of reformers, in this case with Jupiter of religious reformers. When then Muhammad has his vocation is when there is the change of triplicity of the Jupiter Saturn conjunction and this goes in Aquarius, the sign of Arabia and indeed here is born the Arab religion. Confessional struggles Based on these reflections Abu Masar, another great Arab astrologer says that then a "little prophet" must come from a country of the sign of Scorpio (that is like Muhammad). He writes this in the treatise on the Great Conjunctions. The next cycle that is 800 years after Muhammad's conjunction, occurs a Jupiter Saturn conjunction in Scorpio After 1522 and the start of the Protestant Reformation, people began to wonder if perhaps Martin Luther was not the "little prophet" destined to reform the Catholic Church. Luther himself resolved the problem by stating in a preface to the German translation of Lichtenberger's prognostic that: The foundations of Lichtenberger's astral art corrected [...] the signs of heaven certainly do not lie[?] Since therefore Martin Luther's birth year was uncertain between 1483 and 1484, Luther, on the advice of the astrologer and friend Melanchthon, decided to accept 1484 as his birth date thus endorsing the association with the "little prophet". This obviously brought the confessional battle to the astrological plane putting in opposition on the same chart two great astrologers of the time: Philip Melanchthon, Luther's friend, and Luca Gaurico, the astrologer who had predicted to the then unknown Alessandro Farnese his future election as pope. On one hand therefore we have Melanchthon's interpretation of Luther's horoscope: I myself prefer another nativity, and so does Carion too, although it is unpleasant because of Mars' position and the conjunction in houses at $5°$, in which a great conjunction with the ascendant is present. Moreover, at whatever hour he was born, this admirable conjunction in Scorpio cannot but bring forth a supremely combative man[?] To this was opposed the astrological reply provided by Gaurico in his Tractatus Astrologicus of 1552 which correcting the birth time places the conjunction of all planets in the ninth house, that of religion thus giving a completely negative interpretation to the chart: The conjunction of five planets in the sign of Scorpio in IX house, which the Arabs attributed to religion, is peculiar and frightening. It made him impious, heretical, bitter enemy of the Christian religion, and made him worldly. By direction, the ascendant, the conjunction and Mars the unbeliever went to ruin. His wicked soul went to hell, where it will be tormented eternally by Alecto, Tisiphone and Megera.[?,?] Nostradamus A final discourse I wanted to make regarding Nostradamus to see what are the limits of Astrology. We have said in fact in other lessons that there are two realities hierarchically superior and that are not taken into account by Astrology and that are the will of Man and the Will
