The Grail Quest and Salvation History: From Joseph of Arimathea to Perceval
better for the third man who will come. The Round Table represents the place that will be destined to welcome and receive the Grail as soon as one of its knights, the chosen knight, will be capable of deserving so much. In particular, the Knight will have to become the best in the world, go to the castle of the Fisher King (Bron) and ask the two questions: What is the Grail for and whom does the Graal serve? Only then will Bron be healed and pass on to the knight all the secrets of the Grail. PERCEVAL AND THE FULFILLMENT OF SALVATION Did he ever write a Perceval? Perhaps not, and this incompleteness makes sense because it is an apocalyptic thing. • The STORY OF THE GRAIL IS THE STORY OF SALVATION divided into three novels: Joseph of Arimathea, Merlin and Perceval in relation to the 3 times of salvation: the time of Moses, the time of Jesus and the time of the future Messiah, of the one who will come and bring salvation to completion. • The sacrifice of Jesus Christ and his transmission of the Grail to Joseph of Arimathea began the History of Salvation which will be structured in 3 times in relation to the 3 persons of the Trinity Father, Son and Holy Spirit and which can be related to the times expressed by Joachim of Fiore as time of law, time of grace and time of even more grace. • There will be 3 guardians of the Grail Joseph, Hebron and descendant of Alanus and 3 tables must be instituted: the TABLE OF THE SUPPER, that of the Last Supper instituted by Jesus to transmit the Grail to Joseph of Arimathea; the TABLE OF THE GRAIL that instituted by Joseph of Arimathea to transmit the Grail to Hebron and the ROUND TABLE that instituted by Merlin which will lead to the fulfillment of salvation by Perceval. • All of De Boron's book is a PROPHETIC AND MESSIANIC book in which the entire story of the Grail serves to ensure that one day the chosen hero arrives, the one who will bring to completion the salvation begun by Jesus Christ as a New Jesus Christ. • It is clear that this is the text that somehow gave more space to heretical theories about the Grail even if it must be said that at the time this vision was more orthodox than one might think. Saint Bernard himself at the beginning of De Laude Novae Militae hopes that a NEW SAVIOR FROM THE HOUSE OF DAVID will arrive soon. 4 THE VULGATE The last text that is necessary to present to have a real overview of the symbols of the Grail is the "Queste du Graal" or the "quest for the Grail". THE QUESTE DU GRAAL Presentation of the Quest for the Grail Liturgy of the Grail INITIATION OF THE NEW TIMES: INITIATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Immediately it seemed to all of them to see descending from heaven, seated on a splendid seat supported by four angels, a man with the vestments of a bishop, the pastoral staff in hand and the mitre on his head. The angels placed the seat next to the table on which there was the Holy Grail. The man with episcopal insignia had these words imprinted on his forehead: "Behold Joseph, the first bishop of Christians, the one whom Our Lord consecrated in Sarraz in the Spiritual Palace". Then he approached the silver table and prostrated himself to the ground with his elbows and knees. After a while he was in that position, he heard the door of the room open and slam violently. He turned his gaze in that direction and, like all those present, saw the angels who had transported Joseph's seat come out: two of them carried two candles, the third a cloth of crimson silk and the fourth a lance from which blood dripped in streams, which was collected in a casket held by the angel with the other hand. The first two angels put the candles on the table, the third placed the cloth near the Holy Vessel, the fourth held the lance straight over the Holy Vessel so that the blood that dripped along the shaft ended up inside it. Then Joseph got up, moved the lance slightly away from the Holy Vessel, over which he spread the cloth, and acted as if he were beginning to celebrate mass. After remaining motionless for a moment, he took from the Holy Vessel a host made in the shape of bread and when he elevated it, a figure similar to a child descended from heaven, with a face red and burning like fire. The child entered the bread and brought interior and endless beatitude. Those who will be able to learn these words and keep them in mind will be more virtuous towards their neighbor and more devoted to God; moreover, if they have preserved their privileges, they cannot be condemned in a court, deprived of their right or be defeated in a judicial duel.
