Etheric and Astral Bodies: Energy Fields and Aura Colors

from the interaction of electrons with atmospheric atoms that become excited, becoming negative ions and emitting these fluorescent colors as a result of ionization. As in the Kirlian chamber, the colors that were photographed were not the etheric but the electrical discharges that remained imprinted on the film following the etheric lines emitted by the human hand, so the northern lights are not the earth's etheric but follow the etheric lines emitted by the earth. If we look at these northern lights from above, we see effects similar to those of the Kirlian machine. The energy globules seem to be related to negative ions, and their presence in the atmosphere can be associated with the ionization process of the ionosphere by means of high-energy particles from the Sun. However, places traditionally rich in prana are: • northern forests, mountains, • promontories by the sea, or • cliffs where waves crash because many of these globules are collected by the sea, so when waves crash they release these vital particles into the air. Places with little prana are cities, large populated centers, closed places in general, and places with high concentrations of people. To give you an idea, we don't have a scale for measuring the amount of prana contained in a particular place, but we have an objective measure of the quantity of negative ions which can in some way be connected to the amount of prana present in the place: • after a thunderstorm: about 2000 (negative ions per $\text{cm}^3$) • in mountains: about 1500 • in the countryside: about 750 • in small populated centers: about 250 • in large populated centers: about 50 • inside a car cabin: about 10. There are also particular moments that are fuller of prana, as in the case of tides. At dawn and sunset, prana circulation increases, and these are the most vital moments of the day when it would be advisable to do gymnastics and breathing exercises to empty oneself of toxic vitality and recharge with vital energy. Walter Kilner: So, summarizing, we have that the etheric body is an energetic and vital double of the individual. Its development and modifications are not linked to the individual's spiritual evolution as much as to their being in good health and shape. This has been so true that vision in the etheric has even been used as a diagnostic method by a doctor from the late early 1900s, Walter John Kilner. This Kilner had found a way, using dicyanin screens of a strange blue-violet color, to train the eyes and sensitize them to etheric vision. These screens suppressed the visible spectrum except infrared and ultraviolet, and for a reason not entirely clear, perhaps due to the frequency difference between ultraviolet and infrared rays, they effectively highlight a kind of aura around the body of the observed person. The mechanism is not well understood, nor whether the visualized aura is actually the etheric or a kind of optical illusion by concentrating on which it is possible to eventually become sensitive to the etheric. However, Dr. Kilner, who was a doctor and electrotherapist, based many diagnoses on this protocol, writing various books. With the passage of time, however, refining perception through training, not only was Dr. Kilner able to eliminate the support of these dicyanin screens, but he began to notice other auras or more subtle energetic atmospheres whose colors were no longer related to the individual's physical well-being state but to their emotional state. ASTRAL BODY: The body that Kilner had begun to see is what seers define as the astral body. This is the body through which man expresses his emotions, feelings, passions, and in man is an intermediary between the mind (which manifests through a body superior to this) and the physical body. Seers describe this astral body as composed of matter called astral, much finer and incorporeal than physical matter. This matter, unlike ordinary matter, is not illuminated internally, but the Self acts as a light that is reflected on this astral matter and assumes different colors depending on the quality of the passions and emotions experienced. The colors of this energetic aura are therefore highly significant in relation to the quality of feelings and passions experienced by the individual. However, one must not think that an individual's aura is something static; seers describe the energetic aura as normally unstable and extremely agitated in relation to the instability and lack of control of individuals' emotions and passions. As we change emotions and feelings every instant, as a state of fear can rapidly become a state of joy, then religiosity, mysticism, solitude into sociability, entertainment, etc... so the colors of the energetic aura change continuously. Only in the case of superior individuals does this aura become clearer and more stable as feelings and passions gradually become clearer and educated by the Self. THE COLORS OF THE AURA: On this plane indicated precisely as the astral plane or world of desire, colors correspond to psychic states that it is important to know how to discern, both because this constitutes a daily key in the psychic influence of colors that allows us to acquire or modify passions or feelings through visualizations or observations of light sources of the appropriate color, and also because understanding the meaning of these colors will become particularly important after death when the individual will have to sojourn on this plane. Therefore, luminous colors are the projections from within the aura of the luminous waves that start from the Self, and these colors correspond to the merits and defects of the person. Before moving on to analyzing individual auras, let's try to treat some colors in general. • Greenish BLACK: malice. • Chocolate BROWN: Malice. • Dark BROWN: selfishness. • Light BROWN: jealousy. • GRAY (in general): weakness. • Lead GRAY: weakness and sadness. • Light GRAY: weakness and shyness. • Greenish GRAY: weakness and cunning. • Brown RED: avarice.
