Regarding this, the things to talk about could be many, but among all one is certainly the fundamental symbolic artistic element to keep in consideration. The icon generally represents man because it serves man. It is important that there is a human figure in the icon because when one sees a human figure they automatically identify with it, something that does not happen spontaneously for an object or an animal. The symbol of Man, of the Spirit of Man, of Cosmic Man and of Light is the $5$-pointed Star. For this reason it is used by many authors.
