Amoghasiddhi's Green Light and Death Visions - Analysis from Tibetan Book of the Dead

attachment. Do not let yourself be attracted by it: if you possess limited mental capacities, do not let yourself be attracted by it. Here, due to the powerful interference of envy, you will be terrified by the dazzling radiance of the green light and will flee from it; and you will experience an attraction toward the dim green light of the Asura-loka. At this moment do not fear the glorious and clear, radiant and dazzling green light, but recognize it, it is Wisdom; and allow your intellect to be submissive. Or think: "This is the radiant hook of the light of grace of lord Amoghasiddhi, who is the Infallible Perfection." Believe in it. Do not run away. Even if you fled, it would follow you, since you are inseparable. Do not be afraid. Do not let yourself be attracted by the dim green light of the Asura-loka. This is the karmic path determined by strong envy, and it has come to welcome you. If you let yourself be attracted by it, you will fall into the Asura-loka and will have to struggle in the intolerable sufferings of quarrels and war. This is an obstacle that obstructs the path of Liberation. Do not be attracted by it. Abandon your predispositions. Do not be weak. Have faith in the dazzling green radiance, and, concentrating all your thought on the Divine Father-Mother Buddha Amoghasiddhi, pray thus: "Alas! While I am wandering in the cycle of life driven by deep envy, May lord Amoghasiddhi, the Infallible Perfection, guide me on the path of Omnipotent Wisdom Along the way may his buddha consort Samayatara, the Noble Green Star, support me, save me from the dangerous difficulties of the Intermediate State and lead me to perfect illumination!" Praying thus, with intense and humble faith, you will merge into the heart of the Divine Father-Mother Buddha Amoghasiddhi within a rainbow, and will reach the state of Buddha in the Sambhoga-Khaya, in the Northern Kingdom of the Emerald Buddha. CONCLUSION After the 7th day the visions repeat, but with a different meaning for the dying person and it is increasingly difficult for him to save himself, so if he has not managed to identify with any of these lights then he is now heading toward a new incarnation according to his evolutionary degree dictated by the law of resonance and affinity. Having said this, let us see the limits which are essentially of two natures, that is, both theoretical and practical: From a practical point of view it must be said that with the exception of the first part of the text which is focused on rather informal visions because based on luminous perceptions, it must be said that the symbols used are very far from our mentality and it is highly improbable that a westerner would use this symbolism to represent these forces that act in consciousness. The names of the divinities are therefore obscure and the confusing style and distant from our way of thinking and conceiving the world makes this book difficult to use. From a theoretical point of view instead it must be said that the major limits are related to these Lights which in the Tibetan book of the dead it is not understood who or what they are. If they are divinities, but perhaps they are a single divinity that manifests in 5 different aspects, but perhaps it comes from Man, perhaps it is not Man, in short it is a confused argument. It is a confused argument and one that we can only resolve next week with the Christian Book of the Dead because this light, this book says, is Christ not Man. It comes from Man because Christ has bound himself to Humanity but it is not Man, it is God in Man.
